Naturally, the technology has undergone a radical development driven by the digital opportunities and some visionary people in Braunschweig.

3D scanning for industrial use was introduced by GOM in 1995, and this type of white-light scanning is now an established standard. Through comprehensive testing, documented results, and several benchmarks against their measuring systems, GOM has stated their position as absolutely world leading.
