Plastic industry visits Zebicon

How can 3D scanning be used in practice for quality control and product development? That was the question in focus when Zebicon last week welcomed companies from the plastics industry for a professional event centered around metrology, 3D scanning and real-world applications for it.

Last week, we opened our doors for a day dedicated to 3D scanning in practice. Participating companies had the opportunity to experience the technology first-hand through live demonstrations, customer cases and practical examples of how 3D scanning can be used for quality control and documentation in manufacturing.

From theory to practice

The purpose of the event was to give participants insight into how modern metrology can create value in everyday operations. Through practical demonstrations and technical discussions, the day focused on both the opportunities and challenges related to quality control, production and product development.

Participants also had the opportunity to see how scanning data can be used to document parts, identify deviations and provide a stronger basis for decision-making throughout the production process.
