Zebicon is presenting the range of metrology systems, from handheld 3D scanning to fully automated 3D measurement, at VTM Summit on April 25-28.

VTM Summit is a meeting place for the metal working industry in Denmark, and the only trade show with a specific focus on metrology. Here you can meet Zebicon, which could celebrate its 20-year anniversary this year, and thereby is the company in Denmark with most experience within 3D scanning.

One technology with many opportunities

The opportunities of 3D scanning are many. It can among others be used for digitizing prototypes, first-article-inspection, regular quality control of parts, reconstruction of old tools, documentation, and error detection.

The many applications are the reason, why companies need to consider their options before investing in a metrology system. Therefore, CEO Jeppe Laursen share some advice, “What’s important to consider is, the purpose with using 3D scanning, and what the scanned data is going to be used for. Regarding the purpose, you should consider, what the need is for flexibility, speed, and precision, as well as the part size, the number of parts that need to be measured, and how often you need to use the 3D scanner.”
