GOM user meeting gathered 40 metrologists
On November 27-28, Zebicon was hosting GOM user meeting for the third time, where metrologists and quality responsible were gathered for two days of workshops, user presentations and networking.
GOM user meeting is an event, where users of GOM metrology systems in Denmark meet for technical workshops, presentations and news within hardware and software, as well as user presentations and plenty of time for networking.
GOM Metrology systems consist of manual and automated 3D scanners, which are used for industrial part verification and inspection of parts.
User presentations produce value, inspiration and professional discussions
During the two days, four user presentations was held by the companies Ammeraal Beltech Modular, Dansac, Danfoss and LEGO System. The presenters talked about, how they use the GOM metrology systems, which learnings they have acquired, and the results they are getting today.
GOM user meeting lived up to all expectations. Bente Eyving, quality and metrology engineer at Novo Nordisk, participated at the event for the first time. “By participating in GOM user meeting, I have been confirmed in all the possibilities 3D scanning offers, and I have had the opportunity to discuss with other users and hear about how they work with the systems,” says Bente and continues.
“I am going home from the event with far more than I expected. It is especially the user presentations and time for networking, that have been valuable for me.”
Technical workshops kicked off the event
Besides user presentations and networking, the event also offered four technical workshops with different metrology systems. At these Zebicon talked about the use of the newest GOM systems and gave tips and tricks for the new features in GOM software.
This year GOM was also represented with a visit of Björn Rapelius, who presented news directly from GOM and were at disposal for all the users metrology questions.
